This period has really always amazed me, but I am even more fond and appreciative of this period after doing into more detail about it in class. This style of design and architecture is still so popular in the world of interior design today and I knew that it was something still used and referenced, but I was not aware on how popular it truly was. After watching the video in class about Spanish design and how it influences designers all over the world, my appreciation for all of the work done in this period grew even more and I became even more interested in this time period and Spain in general.

I looked at Kristina P and Lindsay's blog this week. Kristina P's post introduced a cathedral that was not discussed in class, the Granada Cathedral. This cathedral is known for it's burnt orange and salmon exterior and unique design. I thought this cathedral was really interesting because of it's unconventional color palette; this would be an amazing thing to see in person! Lindsay's blog displayed an example of Spanish tile that is popular in residential design today. I really liked her example because it is something that I was able to picture in a home anywhere in today's world. This shows how influential this period was for the world of design.
